People-File was founded in 2016 by Casting Director Gabrielle Lawrence.

Gabrielle was born in a small coastal town in Australia and discovered her passion for casting whilst she was in university as her curiosity with people and their stories developed. She would spend her time casting her mother’s friends, nudists, surfers, ballerinas and artists. Gabrielle became fascinated by seeing the layers of people’s everyday life as though it was being watched as a rolling film. Gabrielle prides herself on seeing beyond the lens of any traditional beauty standards and finding what makes people interesting and wonderfully unique.

Based in London for 10 years, Gabrielle works globally across film, advertising, fashion and music. Her expertise is to understand, envision and find the exact character the client is wanting to cast, utilising her experience and extensive network of agencies, models, actors and street-cast talent.
